The collection relates to trades that are not unique to Sheffield but are still an important part of Sheffield's industrial history and are often linked to Sheffield's larger industries. They are smaller and of less significance than other areas of collecting but are important in providing a holistic overview of the nature of manufacturing in Sheffield.
The collection, numbering 550 items, includes items from button making, bookbinding and printing, snuff making, watch and clock making, shoemaking and needle and pin manufacture. The Trust has most recently added to its collection a large number of items from Wards Brewery, which closed in 2000.
