Education and Learning at Kelham Island Museum

We offer a range of activities and resources at our sites for schools and educational groups and for our general visitors. The museums and collections provide exciting opportunities to learn about History, Science, Technology, Maths, Geography, Environment and English.

Pre-booked self guided visits have FREE entry to either site. A small charge will apply for any room hire.

Earth to Sheffield Science Week at Kelham Island Museum
Monday 15 -Thurs 18 March 2010

TIMES: 10.00am to 2.10pm

Earth to Sheffield: Lay it Down! Squeeze It! Dig It! Get a Handle on it!

Create volcanoes; carry out reversible and irreversible reactions; design a magnetic mining machine; test the suitability of materials. A day of discovering how the Earth around Sheffield contributed to the development of the city.
